  • Description

The Gold Standard in Two‑Phase Flow Measurement

BubbleMaster adopts wedge-shaped fiber-optic sensors. When bubbles travel across the sensor tip, variations in reflected light intensity are captured and converted into high-fidelity bubble characteristic data.

Unlike non-intrusive optical techniques, its intrusive fiber-optic sensing remains functional at void fractions above 1%, delivering reliable results for dense and complex flows where alternative instruments struggle. Available sensor tip variants — S‑TOP, T‑TOP and F‑TOP — enable configuration to suit diverse research requirements.

    Advanced Capabilities: What BubbleMaster Measures

Time‑averaged void fraction: Quantifies the volumetric proportion of gas and liquid within the flow. Individual bubble detection, size, and velocity: Each bubble passing the sensor is logged. T‑TOP and F‑TOP sensors deliver precise bubble diameter and velocity data, together with statistical outputs (mean, standard deviation) and histograms. Compatible with non‑conductive fluids: Supports a broad selection of liquid media for cross-industry deployment.

Thanks to its fiber-optic photoelectric detection principle, the system identifies bubbles larger than 1.0 mm and accommodates fluid velocities up to 5 m/s, fitting a wide scope of two-phase flow experiments.

    Intelligent Data Acquisition & Analysis

BubbleMaster is supplied with dedicated analysis software to unlock full test value. It supports high-speed sampling in burst or continuous mode and can record up to 100,000 bubbles, generating large datasets for statistically sound research. The software features real-time monitoring, bubble signal waveform display and rich export results: void fraction, bubble size and velocity distributions, data tables, histograms, mean values and standard deviations.

    Compact, Research‑Ready Hardware

The main unit is built for laboratory benchtop deployment: compact yet powerful for rigorous research work. Dimensions: 255 × 313 × 153 mm, weight approx. 4.5 kg. Universal AC input 90–240 V, 50/60 Hz for easy integration into laboratories globally. Multiple sensor tips (S‑TOP, T‑TOP, F‑TOP) are available, including high-temperature and high-pressure variants, so you can match sensors to your fluid, pressure and test environment.

    Ideal Applications for BubbleMaster 7961

    • Chemical process R&D and optimization: Monitor void fraction and bubble behaviour in bubble columns, mixers and reactors
    • Energy systems and nuclear reactor coolant flow analysis: Characterise gas-liquid flows under harsh operating conditions
    • Cavitation and multiphase flow research: Investigate bubble generation, collapse, size and velocity distributions
    • Bioreactor monitoring and control: Assess gas exchange and bubble dynamics in fermentation and bioprocess systems
    • Pipeline multiphase flow diagnostics: Identify flow patterns, gas-liquid ratios and transient flow characteristics
    • Academic and industrial fluid mechanics testing: Supply high-resolution experimental data for model building and simulation validation

Elevate Your Two-Phase Flow Research with BubbleMaster

For fluid dynamics researchers, process engineers and laboratory specialists requiring accurate real-time data and deep visibility into gas-liquid flows, the BubbleMaster Model 7961 is an essential instrument. Accurate single-bubble detection, comprehensive data output and sturdy hardware establish it as the preferred solution for advanced multiphase flow analysis.
