Accurate Sound Measurement for Noise Assessment
Model 4431 is capable of measuring not only instantaneous sound pressure level, but also equivalent continuous sound level, sound exposure quantity, maximum/minimum sound level, percentile sound level, peak value and other core acoustic parameters for professional noise evaluation.
It provides A, C, Z frequency weighting and Fast, Slow, Impulse time weighting modes to adapt to various acoustic measurement protocols. Equipped with high-sensitivity electret condenser microphone and 0.1 dB display resolution, it meets the data precision requirements for both routine spot checks and sophisticated acoustic research.
Designed for Industrial Hygiene and Environmental Noise Monitoring
Model 4431 applies to workplace and community noise assessment. Accurate sound level data supports exposure risk identification, condition archiving and decision-making for noise abatement.
Application scope covers occupational and industrial hygiene inspection, workplace noise exposure measurement, environmental noise survey, equipment noise assessment and general acoustic testing. Its portable structure facilitates measurement in manufacturing workshops, construction sites, commercial buildings, laboratories and outdoor areas.
Expandable for Advanced Acoustic Analysis
The instrument can be expanded via optional program cards to realize advanced acoustic analysis on the basis of conventional sound level measurement. Configurable functions include:
- Real-time 1/1 and 1/3 octave band analysis
- FFT frequency spectrum analysis
- Real audio recording and monitoring
Such extended functions support routine noise sampling and deep analysis of sound frequency features and noise sources, applicable to occasions where single decibel readings are insufficient for acoustic fault diagnosis.
Flexible Data Storage, Reporting, and Connectivity
Measurement data can be stored on SD card for subsequent analysis and archiving. The meter can communicate with computers through USB with matched software and adapters. Other output interfaces support connection with printers, recorders and other test equipment.
With field data acquisition and computer-aided analysis, it is suitable for cyclic noise surveys, long-term monitoring projects and test activities requiring complete traceable records.
